We used to line up at MIDNIGHT to buy a physical copy of OutKast, Mariah, Jodeci, Boyz II Men or Brandy. And had no problem paying $15.99 for it, without hearing it. In a world where people will pay $1000 for and iPhone or pair of Yeezys, let’s not blame sales on tech, access or piracy. All of these things effect sales because of a collective inability to fight the mediums that allow piracy, but our largest faux pas is QUALITY of music and what we accept and stamp as great. If it ain’t good stop saying it is for the sake of WHO it is! Hold the industry to a standard and people will have no choice but to hold themselves to it and CREATE accordingly. — Also If you want people to buy something, 🛑 STOP giving it away and calling it a marketing technique 🤦🏽‍♂️ — Apple doesn’t give away iPads to sell iPads...
