Happy 5th birthday to my second boy.
Your birthday was December 30, and you asked for your birthday post, so here it is.

If you look up “second born” in the dictionary, your photo would be right there. Full of personality, confidence, and a presence that’s impossible to miss.

You are resilient and strong, and you protect your siblings with no hesitation, even when that means stepping in for your older brother too. You love hard, you love your mama, and you always want to make sure everyone is okay.

I love you with all of me and I am so proud of you and how you’re growing.

I hope you enjoyed celebrating your fifth birthday. 💙🎉

PS: Just know I will absolutely embarrass you one day over the fact that you opened all your birthday gifts without mommy and daddy being present, pulled everything out of the bags, and we couldn’t properly thank anyone because you had already unpacked it all. 😂

Good morning. It’s Giving Tuesday and I want to lift up something that matters to me.

My organization, Pillars, has been serving communities across the metro and the state for nine years. We’ve had our office for four years now, and it has become a place where families come for support, prevention education, mental health promotion, su***de awareness, youth leadership, and real connection. We’ve built this work with intention and a whole lot of love.

Today we’re raising funds for an illuminated exterior sign so people can find us easier and feel welcomed before they even walk through the door. It’s a small thing that makes a big difference.

Just finished leading a 3-hour training that turned into something so much deeper than slides.

We laughed. We cried. We told the truth about what’s draining us and what still gives us hope.

At one point, someone shared they wanted to get back to hiking just to feel like themselves again but couldn’t afford the parking fee. And y’all… I just so happened to have an annual pass in my wallet. Yes, I gave it to him. And yes, I felt like Oprah. People started asking for houses and cars and I kept saying me too. It got real fast.

It was so divine and so unexpected. He could have lived anywhere in Georgia, but he happened to share something I could actually help with. If he hadn’t opened his mouth, he would have never known someone else could meet that need.

That wasn’t a coincidence. That was God providing. Even in something small like a mountain pass.

I’m watching Him show up in my life in intentional and undeniable ways right now. I don’t know all the steps ahead, but I do know I’m saying yes.

Yes to showing up full.
Yes to helping people come back to themselves.
Yes to the next season.

Overflow is real. And I’m walking in it.

On Saturday, June 28 from 2–4 PM, we’re hosting a Maternal Health & Community Expo at Kolomoki Mounds State Park—and it’s full of resources, joy, and care.

We’re talking:
🌿 Real conversations on maternal care, mental health, and substance use
💆🏽‍♀️ Wellness experiences to refill your cup
👩‍👧‍👦 A space for women, caregivers, and families to connect and exhale

We do this work because it matters—and because we believe in building stronger, healthier communities one event at a time.
