Office 365 has changed up their alert system for emails that are not verified, at least in my inbox this is what I am seeing. Probably coming to yours soon as well.
Look at this obnoxious gold alert that comes on top of the email. Can't miss that, eh? Very discouraging for people to open it. Well, this email was just a regular email for Landmark Home Warranty to us and it comes on all of their newsletter updates and direct emails.
Why does this happen? Because their email sending app is not verified with their domain to send on its behalf. How do you fix this? A few entries under their domain.
This has been one of my pet peeves over the last few years as it is an easy fix, but not many understand it, and they don't realize their emails are likely landing in junk mail at a much higher rate, due to this not being done. I have reached out many times to non customers alerting them of this, saying, tell your marketing team to go research SPF, DKIM and DMARC. It will help your emails reach your customers a lot better.
Well, now with this new bold alert at the top of your emails, you really need to get this done ASAP. We can help you get this fixed. Just reach out.
----> SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are essential DNS-based email authentication protocols that work together to prevent domain spoofing, phishing, and phishing, ensuring email deliverability. SPF authorizes sending IPs, DKIM signs messages to verify integrity, and DMARC instructs receivers on handling failures while providing reporting.
