General MacCarley brings decades of distinguished military leadership, legal expertise as an accomplished attorney, and a lifelong commitment to service. On May 23rd, Joe Ramirez afforded me an incredible opportunity to conduct interviews at the Military & Veteran Awards.

The night was full of many amazing stories, but one of my favorites was catching up with my friend (Army Veteran and Director) Ryan Curtis.

Ryan shared an insightful perspective on the perceptions of military veterans that has stuck with me.

He articulates it so well and I believe this lesson extends far beyond Hollywood.

I can't stop thinking about what he said and felt compelled to share.

P.S. Ryan if you are reading this I have not forgotten about the actor comparison you gave me 😆
