I really don’t know how long forever is. But, I know that it’s the rest of my life on this planet without my only baby And, that just seems like too long for me.

Yesterday, I had to say goodbye to my friend from junior high school who became my boyfriend in college and then one of my dearest friends in later adulthood is gone.

Just shy of 4 months to the day of my daughter’s death, he also died from horrific crash. He sat with me and my family at my mother’s house as we made funeral arrangements for Morgan 😭 SMDH…How is this real? How is this the life we dreamed of as children.

I’m deeply hurt by this. He has text me or called me almost every week for years now with an uplifting message or hello or prayer.

When we dated he would surprise me with road trips because I loved to travel and he loved to drive long distances. And oooooh! How he loves the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity 💙….so many parties and step shows. We were at them all—homecomings, Greek Picnic in Philly; Freaknic in Atlanta; Spring Break in Virginia Beach, and more….the fun of the late 80s & early 90s 😆We were for sure Road Dawgs. And let’s not forget the crazy stuff that we will take to the grave.

Regardless of time or distance or even a broken dating relationship we always remained friends and respected each other. I loved how we matured and checked on each other and our families. How we showed up for each other in quiet ways.

I didn’t get to say goodbye or even really say thank you the way I wanted to for being there with me when Morgan passed away. But, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you know my heart.

I love you for life my dear friend Delando. I just can’t believe this. Till I see you again. I want you and Morgan and the ancestors to look over me. It’s starting to become a lonely place without so many of the people I love.

I am not okay… this is the worst days of my life…and I just need to be honest about it…life is trying to murder me…I can’t breathe … she is the heartbeat outside of my body, the very air that I breathe and “Yes” the sun literally shines because of her in my life. I have no words and at the same time I have lots of questions. What do I do when I’ve cried so much that tears no longer flow while I cry now? 🤷🏽‍♀️😞💔

It is with a deeply heavy heart that I am posting that my daughter passed away suddenly in an automobile accident on Thanksgiving morning.

She is and has always been the very air that I breathe; the heat beat outside of my body; she is my everything.
