FULL HEART ❤
In 2017, my 2nd year of , I was juggling 3 related but different services: Event Design, Graphic Design + Prop Styling. Truth was, at 30 years old, I was still trying to decide WTF I wanted to do professionally.

That was also the year that the editors of “found” me. After chatting over coffee, I was asked whether I’d be interested in producing & styling a holiday-centric shoot. I tried to be chill about it, but internally I was freaking out. All I had ever wanted to do since I was 13 was to work on shoots for magazines. I couldn’t believe that an editor had asked me to do JUST THAT.

The shoot I put together that year was called “Friendsgiving Feast”. I ran around Baltimore, introducing myself to local shops, restaurants + makers that I thought would be cool to collaborate with. I thrifted antiques & dishware. I brought everything together in a church & styled a Thanksgiving tablescape. It was the most elaborate project I’d ever done.

That night, Nate came home & innocently asked ‘how’d it go?’. I immediately burst into tears — the happy kind. “I don’t know how to explain it, but now I know: THIS is what I was always meant to do” I said with wet cheeks.

7 years later — I’m still in mild shock I get to make a living by collecting props, collaborating with creatives & telling stories through imagery — here in Baltimore none-the-less; A city where my grandparents + Dad immigrated to from Italy, which I abandoned for NYC, never thinking I’d ever return to, only to find my truest self here, years later.

Thank you , most especially . You’re the catalysts that made me realize that THIS is the career for me & that THIS is my city. Thank you so much for sharing my story - my family’s story - with Baltimore ❤

Interior reflections 🏠 👀
Now that + I have been sans house since December (we sold our 1910 Baltimore rowhouse before leaving for our 6-month travel sabbatical), I’ve been thinking a LOT about what makes a space feel like a home.
During our travels we were exposed to so many new design elements I had never seen before. In turn, I found myself constantly scheming + dreaming: sketching interiors, mood boarding design elements, taking hundreds of photos of spaces, architectural elements, furniture, decor & treatments we came across in our travels that inspired me; wondering how we’d share our experiences, combined stories + personalities in our next space…
While we still don’t know when we might have our own home again (we’re currently living with my parents 45 min north of Bmore until we figure that out - 👋🏼 roomies!), I’m excited for what the future might hold and how we might transform a new space together again. Until then, I dream.
In these slides:
1. A stunning kitchen + bookcase designed by the talented , photographed by + styled by me 😊️
2. A drawing of a ‘dream house’ I sketched during our stay in Oaxaca, MX (and never finished 🤭)
3. A piece of an interior moodboard I put together after our time in Medellín, Columbia that incorporates a number of props I purchased while there

And just like that, this girl is 36.
Determined as ever.
Humbled by this great world.
Finding beauty in all its intricacies,
the vast diversities.
Making a truce with balance;
Submitting to the reality that there must always be 2 sides, a tension.
Staying curious. Listening more.
Choosing a path that shimmers with joy,
That allows me to stand in my power.
Embracing love, in all it’s complicated forms.
Accepting it all.
Welcoming what is to come,
knowing I can’t stop it.
Making an oath to do my best;
To leave footprints of love,
however soft or deep they may be.
❤️
6 months of travel has come and gone.
But it will live in me forever.
Thank you for this gift and for living it with me

The sky was dark and the fog laid thick over Ft. Lauderdale at 7 this morning as + I waited for the train to take us to Miami Airport. The vibe reminded me of this photo created for ‘s holiday gift guide this past year...
Now, the two of us sit in the airport & wait to board the plane that will take us to Mexico City -- officially marking the start our 6-month travel sabbatical (!). Still can't believe the time has finally come for us to start this adventure...
We'll be in CDMX for the next 3 weeks; then Oaxaca for the 3 weeks following. If you've ever visited either of these places (or any place we should know of nearby), PLEASE send all your tips, recs, etc. our way - we want to know/see/taste it all!
✌🏼USA. See you again June 22'!
ALSO - friendly reminder that my baby WILL REMAIN OPEN while I'm away! So please don't hesitate to reach out if you want to visit, check out our props, surfaces and/or photoshoot space. I promise our new studio manager, , will welcome you with open arms, just as I would! :)

Excited to share new work created for the wonderful which I’ll be rolling out next week!
Earth Element’s owner, Kellie, began making natural soaps at home to combat some of her own chronic skin issues. She quickly discovered that her handmade products (which were crafted using safe, non-toxic, and natural ingredients) cleared her skin and made her feel more radiant inside and out. After sharing her soaps with friends and family, it became a hit! In just a few short years Kellie has been able to build and expand on the product line and hasn’t looked back since!
Honored to be given the opportunity to work with this amazing brand and human along with for the 2nd time in 2 years. Thank you to Kellie for trusting us!!

Time is precious and life too short. Two mantras I say to myself regularly to recalibrate what’s important and/or how I want to shape my life & work.
That being said, it’s shocking how often I push my deepest desires aside to make way for other things - most typically - financial growth & stability. While I’ll argue these are solid things to strive for, they can also often hold me in a cocoon of comfort that’s hard to break from.
With 2020 behind us, I’ve been thinking a lot about what we’ve overcome; how the freedom of perusing uncomfortable pursuits are actually the ones that unlock deep, passionate growth.
With this in mind, I’ve chosen “exploration” as my new mantra &/or word for 2021. This word had already inspired me to get out of my home, secure a studio & create . I hope that it continues to guide me as I confront other uncomfortable possibilities ahead....
What’s your word of 2021?! Hav with practiced anything relating to your word already? Spill the beans - I’d love to hear!

A glimmer of of new beginnings ahead. That is all that I wish for us.
Saying goodbye to 2020 has been strange. While I feel 💯 ready to move into a new year, I’m also feeling slightly nostalgic... i ask myself over and over - WHY?! This was a year that shook us. There was so much ugly & scary. Why do I feel like I’m abandoning something?? And then it hits me:
I’m actually going to miss bits of 2020...
The surreal quiet of quarantine, everyone discovering sourdough, puzzles, Tiger King. Seeing masked Italian grandmas dancing on balconies to music. The bravery - so much bravery from friends, relatives & strangers worldwide. Having space to make new connections, engage in meaningful, sometimes uncomfortable conversations. Standing for and with Black Lives Matter. Seeing some of my best friends open their own brick and mortars, grow in their businesses and/or become parents for the 1st & 2nd time.
Don’t get me wrong - this year was mostly a steaming pile of 💩 . But it also brought us some damn decent, life changing experiences that I’ll never forget. Goodbye 2020. You were wild and damn it - I’ll kinda, just a little bit, miss you.
Hope you all have a wonderful NYE!!! Cheers friends! 🍾🎉✨

Gentle reminder to try and enjoy a moment of pause this holiday. Make a cup of hot tea (or cocoa or coffee) and savor it. Grab a piece of paper and note any small triumphs this year has brought you; the lessons you’ve learned; acts of kindness you’ve seen. Take them in. Hold those moments close to your heart. Let them be the ones that guide you. Let them be the ones that give you hope.
Wishing you all much love during these last few days leading up to 2021 ☕️ 📔 🖊 🥰
PS: in case you didn’t catch my stories today, THIS GIRL GOT HERSELF 🔑 TO A STUDIO FOR XMAS!!! Stay tuned — coming soon!
