Hey guys Hey! 👋🏾 HAPPY NEW YEAR! let me take a minute to introduce myself. For those who may not know me personally, my name is Kimber Williams. I am a mother to a beautiful 7 year old girl and the face and creative genius behind Marketing the Mission. I want to take a few minutes to tell you a little “sumn sumn” about me.
I have a bachelors degree in Business management with a focus in Human Resources from West Texas A&M University. 🤟🏾
I started my masters degree in nonprofit management from University of Houston Downtown but it’s been placed on hold until further notice. 🤷🏾♀️
I’m walking into my 6th year in the nonprofit space. I started as a mentor/ bus chaperone on a college bus tour for opportunity youth that blossomed into a start-up nonprofit called College Success Initiative, now known as the Youth Success Project
I’ve spent the last 5 years strengthening my knowledge and expertise in nonprofit fundraising and marketing. I’ve worked in programs, special fundraising events, volunteer management, marketing and communications, databases management, and individual gifts.
I’ve been on this journey in entrepreneurship for 7 years. I first started in network marketing and that DID NOT last long 😂
I’ve stayed pretty quiet about my journey and “side gigs.” Only sharing with close family and friends with an occasional a post or two on Facebook. But I am very passionate about Marketing The Mission and I am ready to be loud and proud!
is a marketing the communication agency that was launched in 2019 to help small nonprofits with practical techniques to gain more visibility and raise money.
In 2019 we generated $15k in revenue for a first time event for a very small organization, Built several websites and trained over 100 nonprofit leaders in simple social media strategies for small shop organizations. Big Wins for a 1 woman show!! 🙌🏾
