Look at Theo 🥺❣️.
As many of you know, Theo was picked up as a stray by his local animal control. He was extremely malnourished and dehydrated and was suffering from severe burns. After weeks in critical condition, Theo made a miraculous recovery, was discharged from the hospital and was able to come home….a feeling he had never experienced and that most pigs like Theo, unfortunately never do….
Over 130 MILLION pigs (just like Theo) are slaughtered every year in the US. These pigs are kept in dismal and heartbreaking conditions, never seeing sunlight or grass, completely devoid of human affection. These animals leave this life lonely and frightened, never able to experience comfort or love.
Pigs are highly intelligent creatures. They are the third smartest animal in the animal kingdom, following dolphins and orangutans. Pigs are very emotional beings, intuitive and aware of their surroundings. They form strong bonds with other animals and people. Pigs even show their emotions; they wag their tails when they are happy and they cry tears when they’re sad.
There’s often a disconnect between humans and the animals they consume and we hope that Theo serves as an ambassador to help bridge that gap. Together, we can make the change and after all, the animals depend on us.
Today, November 1st, is World Vegan Day đź’š
It’s never too late to make a change and you’ll never regret choosing compassion.
