What is going on in this State of Emergency is nothing short of crazy. Below is a statement regarding the Mayor of New York ...
Sunday evening the mayor went even further stating that he would sign an executive order today limiting restaurants, bars and cafes to take out and delivery and ordering the closure of all nightclubs, movie theater houses and concert venues in the city effective Tuesday, March 17 at 9 a.m.
What does this mean for business nationwide?
With the world essentially staying home at this point.
What do you do as a business owner with people not coming into your restaurant, taking your yoga classes, taking advantage of your 2 for 1 massage special or personal training sessions..this list goes on for all types of businesses.
My thoughts? We are going to transition, quickly, even if for a (relatively) short time, into a strictly value-based economy. People are going to be on the computer/online more than EVER in the coming days, weeks or months
There are 2 options..
1. Close up shop and shut everything down, marking it up as an L .... OR
2. Work to provide that value that the world (your customers =0) so desperately seek.....
How do you do this?
If you are that restaurant ... create a newsletter, offer up some cool recipes that are congruent with what you do in your kitchen; that people can make from home.
If you are a yoga instructor ... create lists of your favorite posses for different difficultly levels and offer it to everyone ... The list goes on
NOW is the perfect time to grow and nurture that customer base for your business! So when things do get back in order you will be 10 steps ahead and in the best position you've ever been!
I hope this was valuable for and cleared the way for some creative juices to everyone in panic.
