In the mid 1990s, I was working and going to community college. I had access to a large record collection. In it was the "Rock a Little" LP with inside sleeve and lyric sheet.I also attended record shows and found the 45 records for the B sides and unreleased songs like "Garbo" and "One more Big Time Rock and Roll Star". I concluded that following the break up with Joe Walsh and her entering rehab, the music from this era was a dark period for Stevie Nicks. The hand tinted photographs and her creative intention to recreate the movie stills from the classic looks of lady film star era were also fascinating. So, it inspired the little 12x14 portrait I created with my own poem about her. It's called "Timeless" because her songs indicated she was quite vulnerable and in real life she really was. Within the 10 years post recovery from co***ne, she would then nearly lose her life after getting off Kolonopin. Prints of the portrait will be available in 2025!
