Thanks, Sinful Sweets for the fun scavenger hunt yesterday! I casually mentioned the post to my kids when I saw it, and they were so excited to see if they could win, they jumped on their bikes and rode down to The Caffeinated Cook to find the gift card (and, of course, got cookies while they were at it). It's National Small Business Week this week (May 3-9)!

This is an annual event coordinated by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to recognize the contributions of local businesses to our economy (if you're curious—small businesses make up almost half of GDP and employ nearly half of private sector workers).

In honor of this week, support a local business in whatever way is right for you. Shop local. Or write a Google review for your favorite business or share one of their posts on social media. It matters!

Myself, I may take the opportunity to patronize one of our several awesome bakeries or coffee shops in Ellettsville...for the cause, of course. The baked goods are just incidental. 😉

I recently had the privilege of creating a website for Stinesville Community Library. What’s even better than doing the work I do is getting to learn about the organizations I’m working with. This little library is such a wonderful example of a town coming together to create a space for people of all ages to share in the joy of reading and gather as a community. A big congratulations to all who played a role in making this special place happen.
