LOCAL NONPROFIT SPOTLIGHT: JUST HELP ONE ❤️

When disaster changes lives in an instant, organizations like Just Help One step in with practical help, rebuilding support, and compassion.

Just Help One is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on disaster relief, cleanup, recovery, rebuilding, and compassionate service for communities in need.

Right now, they’re responding to needs including:

* Flooding in Texas
* Flooding in Indiana
* A church building project in Tennessee

Their mission is simple but powerful: bring hope, help, and healing to people walking through difficult circumstances — and give volunteers a chance to make a tangible difference.

🚓🚒 NATIONAL NIGHT OUT IS THIS TUESDAY IN BOERNE!

This is such a fun way to meet the people who help keep our community safe — and let the kids get an up-close look at some of the police + fire vehicles too! ❤️

Boerne Police + Boerne Fire will be out at Main Plaza along with other community organizations for an evening of:

There’s a lot happening around town Oct. 5–11 — from National Night Out and library events to Market Days, fall fun, live music, family activities + more.

⛳ This week we’re also highlighting the Still Water Camp Golf Tournament, helping raise money to send kids to camp. If you golf — or know someone who does — send this their way!

We saw a post in a local Boerne Facebook group from Donna, who shared about a foster family in our community needing a wheelchair ramp for a little girl with cerebral palsy. ❤️

She put out a simple call for help — and people showed up.

Within hours, community members were stepping in, offering help, resources, and support.

No spotlight. No recognition. Just people asking, “What can we do?”

This is one of the things we love most about Boerne and Kendall County. When there’s a real need, you see neighbors, churches, businesses, and complete strangers come together.

Donna said it beautifully: the Church isn’t just somewhere we go — it’s who we are.

Loving our neighbor. Using what we have. Showing up when someone needs us.

There’s so much heaviness in the world, but stories like this deserve to be shared too.

This is what it looks like to love where you live. ❤️

You don’t have to travel to Munich to raise a stein — Boerne is celebrating German heritage with local brews, German-inspired food, live music, games and plenty of Hill Country fun. 🍂

And this weekend, Oct. 10–11, there are TWO celebrations to check out:

German-inspired food specials + live music from the full Boerne Jazz Band!

🍺 Free Roam Brewing Co. | Oct. 10–11
Live music, vendors, food trucks, games, a stein-holding contest, watermelon-eating contest + family-friendly fun. Pups welcome! 🐾

🚨 UPDATE from Amy, owner of Handmade on Main!

Amy shared in a video that Handmade on Main is NOT closing. 🤍

Instead, they’re planning to move into another shop closer to the walkable part of Main Street.

The name and exact location of that shop haven’t been disclosed yet, but Amy says more details are coming.

So this is a move, not a goodbye — and Handmade on Main will still be part of the Boerne shopping scene. 🛍️✨
