Moonbrew Coffee – Branding Project

This project started out as a simple brochure design, but once I got going, it grew into a full branding case study.

Moonbrew Coffee is a fictional brand featuring one of my personal favorite aesthetics with a dreamy gradient, celestial motifs, and a cozy air of whimsy. It felt like the perfect blend of my personal interests and design style which was what made this project so fun to do.

The end result is a full set of branding materials — from packaging to menus — all built around the idea of capturing that peaceful, inspired feeling of a late-night cup of coffee and a touch of midnight magic.

This logo was created as a Christmas gift from a close friend to her husband, who runs a contracting business. With only two requests — that the logo resemble a house and feature lime green — I developed a wide range of options. He chose this version, which captures both his vision and his brand identity, and loved the result.

Amy originally had a simple Canva logo with a shooting star. Since she’s an art teacher who now runs her own classes, I wanted her new logo to call back to her creative work while keeping continuity with her old brand. I reimagined the shooting star with a bold red brushstroke tail — adding personality, movement, and a nod to her artistry.

Designed a 5-page lead magnet for a visual artist. The client provided the color palette, logo, and photo, and asked for an ethereal, mystical style with fine details. I created a mood board to set the tone, sourced vector illustrations from Vecteezy (credited in the final piece), and built a clean, magical layout that aligned with the client’s vision.

Designed a two-page spread for the 2017 HPBExpo Guidebook in Atlanta. The challenge was balancing a large amount of text and images while featuring a new event highlight, the “Recreation Destination.” I used a geometric, color-blocked layout to organize the content and reflect Atlanta’s grid-like city identity.

Designed a digital flyer for my client, Amy Chambers, to promote her weekly Saturday events where kids can explore and express themselves through art. I used a playful, wiggly, blobby design style to capture the creative, freeform nature of the event and reflect its emphasis on self-expression.

Created a conceptual layout for a volunteer project that unfortunately did not move forward. The design included a sample cover, content page, color palette, icons, and graphics to show the direction of the full book. Inspired by the “Hero’s Journey,” I leaned into high fantasy and mythic elements. I used AI-generated imagery as placeholders to help the team visualize the final look and feel.
