Boston Annual Improv Tournament - BAIT

Boston Annual Improv Tournament - BAIT The home of the Boston Annual Improv Tournament, where the best indie improv teams in Boston vie to be crowned champions! All shows start at 7:30 pm.

An annual tournament featuring the best independent improv teams from around the region competing to be crowned Boston Annual Improv Tournament Champion. The 24 competing teams will have to show their skills in a variety of formats in order to win. Each team will have to perform a 10-minute long-form set, a 5-minute short-form set, and a 2.5-minute line game. Teams have to be great in all types of

improv in order to win the day and advance to the finals. Each week we will see 6 teams compete, with the winning team moving onto the Championship show. During the qualifying round, the audience votes for who will win and move on. We'll also choose one wildcard team to round out the Championship show, which will happen in Week 5. The Championship will be decided by a panel of highly-respected improv industry judges. Registration for each team is $25 for the entire tournament. The 2015 qualifying rounds will be held the first 4 Sundays in August, with the Championship show on Thursday August 27. The winning team gets serious bragging rights, the right to use the BAIT Champion logo in their marketing, and a trophy (yes...a real improv trophy).
