What are your thoughts about AI writing tools? I use ProWritingAid primarily to correct clunky sentences and passive voice. In today's MarinerSoftwares deals, Instoried AI Content is offered at $39 for a lifetime subscription. It's tempting to see how it works and if it helps during the ideation phase?

Obviously, these tools will never replace writers, but it can help speed up the process. And as a content writer that's important because that means I can produce more.

I often get asked what in the world is Plain Speaking Communications? Here's the backstory: Back when I was an editor, I used to get press releases that were pretty much incomprehensible. By that I mean nothing but industry and business jargon. I had no idea what the company was selling, manufacturing, or its purpose. In exasperation, I said to a friend who was visiting, "What is it with these PR people who write gibberish. It's all jargon. Why can't they tell me in plain English what they actually do? Whatever happened to good, old-fashioned plain speaking?"

My friend, looked up from his phone and said, "That's actually a good name for your new company. Just add 'Communications.'"
