LIzzy Moffett Designs Custom websites for coaches, creatives, and small business owners in the Denver area, built in two focused days. Based in Brighton, Colorado. Hi! I’m Lizzy!

Webflow, Squarespace, and Wix, with strategy and SEO built in. I guide the online presence of a small group of growing businesses. I build strategic websites quickly, then stay involved long-term so those sites never fall behind the business. Most of my clients come to me because they want a calm, trusted partner rather than a one-time project.

I pay someone one hour a month to do something that would take me four hours on my own. That is not laziness. That is math. I wrote about why the same math applies to your website, and why building it yourself might be costing you more than the price tag says. Can something good come from a scammer impersonating your clients as you? I may be a total optimist, but I like to think so.

Getting impersonated by a total stranger turned into one of the more honest mirrors I've looked into all year. My clients were kind to "me" even when the ask was completely out of character, which said more about them than any review ever could. It also showed me exactly what I stand for, mostly by showing me everything I don't.

This isn't really a cybersecurity post. It's more of a "here's who I actually am when someone tries to fake it" post.

Plandipity Doers finally has a home that looks and feels exactly like the community it is.

Samantha Markey has spent years building this business growth community for small business owners, piecing it together across a Facebook group and borrowed corners of another website. It deserved better than that.

Over two days, we built her a full seven page site in Webflow: home, about, events, speaker page, blog, member spotlight, and contact, all wrapped in her signature pink, teal, and blue.

When Samantha saw it finished, she told me it was exactly what her brand was supposed to look like. Handing it over felt less like wrapping up a project and more like handing over something she has been building toward for a long time. That reaction is exactly what I build for.

Congratulations, Samantha () and the whole Plandipity Doers Collective. Your new home is live, and it is every bit as playful, warm, and welcoming as your community is.

National Aviation Day feels like a good day to talk about strategy.
A pilot does not take off and then figure out the destination. There is a flight plan. There are checkpoints. There is a clear picture of where the plane is going and how it is going to get there.
A great website works the same way. You do not just pick colors and start typing. You start with the destination. Who are you trying to reach? What do you want them to do when they land? What does the journey from stranger to client actually look like?
That is the part most people skip. And it is the part I love most.
If your website feels like it is flying without a flight plan, I would love to help you build one.

Today is National Work Like a Dog Day, which, honestly, sounds like most Tuesdays around here.
But here is what I keep coming back to. You work hard every single day to deliver for your clients. Your website should be working just as hard for you, even when you are not at your desk, even when you are asleep, even when you are finally taking a weekend off.
A great website does not just sit there looking pretty. It answers questions, builds trust, and moves people toward reaching out. All day. Every day. Without you having to do a thing.
Is yours doing that? If not, let's fix it!

I sat down with BoldJourney for an honest conversation about how I actually work. How I build a custom website in two focused days, why the human side of business is where I come alive, and the moment a client sees their finished site for the first time and realizes nothing got cut to hit the deadline. That part still feels a little like a magic trick.

It is live now. Take a look. (Link in comments)

You have probably heard someone say AI is about to make websites pointless. That Google will just answer everything and nobody will click through to your site again.

Here is what actually just happened.

Google rolled out a set of changes to how its AI results credit the websites they pull from. Instead of tucking sources at the bottom, it now puts the link right next to the answer, shows a preview of your page when someone hovers, and makes the business name easier to spot. In plain English, Google is working harder to send people back to the sites it learns from, not keep them.

Here is why that matters for you. The websites getting picked up are the ones that answer real questions clearly and obviously come from someone who knows their field. That is not a trick or a loophole. That is just a well-built, well-written site doing its job.

So no, AI is not making your website pointless. It is making a clear, genuinely helpful site worth more than ever.

If yours is not pulling its weight right now, that is fixable, and it is exactly the kind of thing I help small business owners sort out. Book a free Good Fit Call and we will talk through where you stand!

Some things are worth every penny.
A really good cheesecake. A really good website. Both take the right ingredients, a thoughtful process, and someone who knows what they are doing.
The difference is that a great website keeps working for you long after the last bite.
If you have been on the fence about investing in yours, National Cheesecake Day feels like a perfectly reasonable day to decide you are worth it.

Today the internet will be full of emojis. And honestly, fair enough.
But here is the thing about your website. It cannot communicate in emojis. It has to do the whole job with words, structure, and strategy. And most small business websites are not doing that job as well as they could.
If your website copy sounds like it was written in a rush, or worse, sounds like everyone else in your industry, that is worth fixing.
Words are doing a lot of work on your site. Make sure they are the right ones.

Curious what that looks like? Link in captions!

Some good news to share.
Lizzy Moffett Designs was voted Platinum in Web Design for CommunityVotes Thornton, and that is two years in a row now.

This one is meaningful because it comes straight from the community, from people who took the time to nominate and vote.
So if that was you, thank you.

Building websites for solopreneurs and small business owners around Colorado is my favorite kind of work, and it is a good feeling to know the folks here have noticed.

If your website has been sitting on your to-do list longer than you would like to admit, that is exactly what I help with. Book a free Good Fit Call whenever you are ready!
