Day 1 of my new FREE Your Story Is Not Neutral devotional begins with those three powerful words:

We had hoped…

And over 15 days we explore stories in the Bible of people whose disappointment, grief, protective patterns, and painful stories become places of encounter, redemption, and ultimately calling.

And love for you to have a copy.

I’m so glad you’re interested in my new: Your Story Is Not Neutral — A 15-Day Biblical Journey. 🤍

For 15 days, we’ll walk through the stories of people like Hagar, Peter, the Shunammite woman, Naomi, Esther, Joseph, and the disciples on the road to Emmaus—and discover how God meets us in the stories that have shaped us.

Together, we’ll move through the A.R.C. Method™:

Aware — Name the stories, longings, and protective patterns that have shaped you.

Reclaim — Begin recognizing what else is true: where God has been present, what your pain doesn’t get to define, and where redemption may already be unfolding.

Calling — Discover how your story may have prepared and positioned you to bring life to others.

Because your story is not neutral.

It has shaped you—but it does not get the final word about who you become.

I’d love to make sure you’re one of the first to receive a FREE COPY it when it launches. 🤍

We don’t just remember our stories.

We interpret them.

And often, without realizing it, those interpretations become beliefs we carry forward:

This is who I am.
This is what I can expect from people.
This is what I have to do to be loved.
This is how I stay safe.
This is what I can expect from God.

But what if some of the conclusions you formed in painful chapters were never meant to become the truth you live by?

What if God wants to meet you in those places—not to erase what happened, but to help you see your story through the lens of redemption?

That’s the heart behind something new I’ve been creating:

Your Story Is Not Neutral: A 15-Day Biblical Journey

For 15 days, we’ll walk through stories in Scripture and discover how God meets people in the places that shaped them—places of disappointment, rejection, loss, shame, longing, and unmet hope—and how He begins to reveal a redemptive story they couldn’t yet see.

Because your story has shaped you.

But it doesn’t get the final word.

Redemption does.

I’ll be releasing it next week. 🤍

The more I’ve studied Scripture, the more I’ve become convinced that God intentionally uses embodied experiences to shape His people.

He didn’t only give Israel commands.
He gave them feasts.

Jesus didn’t only teach crowds.
He ate with them.

The disciples didn’t recognize Him on the road…
they recognized Him at the table.

There’s something about slowing down, sharing a meal, remembering together, and experiencing God’s presence that changes us differently than information alone.

It’s one of the reasons beautiful tables have become such an important part of what I’m creating through the Emmaus Encounters™️.

You can quote Scripture.

You can explain the Gospel.

You can tell someone that God is good.

And yet…

Still feel alone.
Still live like you’re not enough.
Still struggle to believe His love is really for you.

The problem usually isn’t a lack of information.

It’s that your heart learned something different long before your mind knew the truth.

Our stories shape what feels true—not just what we know is true.

That’s why simply hearing more truth doesn’t always create lasting change.

Jesus understood this.

On the road to Emmaus, He didn’t just give two disappointed disciples more information. He walked with them through their story until their hearts were able to recognize what had been true all along.

Sometimes the longest journey isn’t across the world.

It’s the 18 inches from your head to your heart.

That’s the journey I’m passionate about helping women take.

Not just knowing God’s love…
but experiencing it.

Comment “Emmaus” if you’re ready to begin that journey.
