Most Amazon EU expansion strategies fail before the launch even starts.

One of the biggest mistakes brands make is choosing their next marketplace based on market size alone.

A bigger population does not automatically mean stronger demand for your product.

Consumer behavior, culture, climate, and buying habits vary heavily across Europe.

A product that performs well in the US may completely miss the mark in another region. A sweetener brand designed around American eating habits might struggle in Europe. Meanwhile, a pool supply brand could see stronger demand in France than the UK simply because of climate and lifestyle differences.

The smarter approach:
• Prioritize localized product-market fit
• Study real customer reviews in each region
• Understand regional buying behavior
• Test conservatively before scaling inventory

Macro data helps guide decisions. Local demand is what actually drives revenue.

When a sponsored ad converts on a keyword, Amazon registers your product as relevant for that search. Consistent conversion compounds into organic rank.

Most brands evaluate agencies on case studies, pricing, and how polished the deck is.

Almost none ask the question that actually matters: who is going to be working on this account in six months?

The standard agency model runs on a bait-and-switch that nobody calls it. A senior strategist closes the deal. An account coordinator — often someone with under a year of Amazon experience — runs the day-to-day. The senior person surfaces for quarterly reviews and when renewal comes up.
Your account deserves more than that.

Before you sign anything, ask specifically who will manage your campaigns, who handles case escalations with Amazon, and who is responsible for your weekly reporting. Get names. Then ask how many other accounts those people are running simultaneously.

The answers will tell you more than any case study.
