In 2018, Andrew Yang was already campaigning for President.

He went to truck stops and told truckers that autonomous trucks would take their jobs. He was talking about AI and work years before ChatGPT reached the masses in early 2023.

He also talked about universal basic income.

I didn't get it then. Mmm I don’t think many of us did. He was early. The vast majority of people couldn’t understand what on earth he was talking about.

Today he said a lot of the same things, but with data. I did very clearly understand what he was talking about.

He is pretty passionate about the future of work.

He even recorded a video telling my son to add a formal AI certification to his University of Chicago degree. (I'll spare you the video.)

2018 was too early. We were just not ready for these topics.

Today Andrew cited about four industries that will be hit first. When it happens, people will be looking for financial stability. What creates income? What creates passive income? What keeps wealth stable as we go through the biggest disruption of our lifetimes?

Lay groundwork now to establish trust. Be there when people start asking these questions. Many already are.

“Do any of you have a podcast? It’s so strange. People recognize me now. They remember things I never remember saying.”

That was the kickoff sentence for the keynote.

The room is full, because Paul Roetzer and Mike Kaput started a podcast and a slack channel.

Create the content. Be consistent. Give value. It compounds. This is what businesses need to be doing now, and doing it authentically.

I asked Muse (Meta's new AI agent) to find me national tax strategists who work with high-income W-2s and business owners.

It didn't give me a page of links. It gave me a short list and told me exactly why it picked #1. Credentials. Reviews. A website that clearly said who they serve.

So I asked it how it picks. Google reviews, client reviews on Reddit, and website credentials.

That's it. If it can't find you or figure out what you do, it moves on to someone it can.

And Muse is just one AI. More agents are coming.

A new client spent a year producing expert interviews, because that is what his channel produces.

When we pulled the numbers, one video stood out. It was a single story about one person, and it accounted for more than a third of the channel's views for the entire year.

Nobody had looked at that number before. Once we did, the content plan changed in one meeting.

The data tells a story. Look at it before you decide what to make next.

Files in Dropbox. Files in Drive. Some stuff in ChatGPT. Some in Claude. Nothing in one place.

I see this with almost every client I work with. If you're a small business owner and you can't find anything, that's not a you problem. That's a systems problem.

In March I was taught to use Obsidian. It changed everything.

Obsidian is a central brain for your business. Every file. Every piece of work done in Claude or ChatGPT. Every Drive document. All of it synced to one place. On your hard drive. Backed up. Accessible on every device.

And then you program little agents to go do work for you from that brain.

Systems are everything. This is where it starts.

I booked a gutter company on Muse today.

It was easy. People love easy. People are adopting this right now.

What is it?

Muse is Meta's first mass-released agent. It's on Facebook and Instagram right now. And it's not a chatbot - it books things, buys things, changes flight arrangements. It takes the tasks off your plate and does them for you (who doesn’t love that idea?)

The issue is, it’s going to use sites that are easy for it to use. Sites that show up to AI crawlers.
I tested it on my website. Then on my client's. And some things had to change!

Give your business the “Muse Test”. Go test your booking process today. And make sure agents can actually find you online.

Credentials do not announce themselves.

One of my clients has shared careful, accurate market analysis for years. Nothing about his expertise changed this year. What changed is how consistently people could see it.

Conference organizers noticed. He went from no speaking panels to several in a single year.

That is how authority compounds. The credibility was already there. Visibility put it in front of the people making the decisions.
