Wired Island International

Wired Island International Wired Island is a specialized PR and digital marketing agency for global B2B tech innovators.

At the intersection of paid, owned and earned media, we provide content-led marketing solutions for companies to build brands and increase visibility. We’ve cut our teeth working with B2B tech companies – large and small – for more than 25 years. Our clients are based in Silicon Valley, the tech centers of Europe and Israel to the far reaches of Asia. They all share a common goal – to reach techni

cally-savvy audiences. We work with engineers, PhD’s, young entrepreneurs as well as seasoned CEOs to develop compelling messages to tell their intricate stories and resonate with key audiences. We know tech PR and marketing because we’ve lived it from the trenches on up. How companies communicate and influence has evolved over the years and Wired Island has grown with it. Built on a long track record of success in traditional PR and earned media (with the Rolodexes to prove it), we have integrated additional and relevant skills and services to ensure our clients’ messages stand out in today’s dynamic and noisy environment. With content as a foundation, we apply best practices in digital marketing, SEO/SEM, digital design and lead generation to provide fully integrated communications programs that support our clients’ business goals. Based on many years of working with global clients, Wired Island has particular expertise in helping international start-ups, scale-ups, and mid-stage companies establish a presence and build awareness in the US market. Our client roster features a range of start-ups who leverage our experience, contacts and content development skills to hit the ground running when they are all ready to expand to the US.

The way people discover companies is changing rapidly. Now we have to communicate to both humans and machines. Generative Engine Optimization is what we hear it referred to most often and it is the new frontier in PR.

Together with the team from The Collectivist Agency we have produced a new PR Manager’s Guide to GEO.

The report makes it clear that AI isn’t just reshaping search, it is becoming a critical part of how a company manages reputation and visiblity. This is making PR more critical than ever.

Research cited in the report shows that earned media is highly authoritative in AI outputs, accounting for more than 70% of sources in some categories. The second factor is consistency - as AI engines primarily look to the last 12 months for reference.

Mike Sottak explains in an excerpt from the report: The outlets that will matter most are the ones seen as authoritative for those searches, what we’d call vertical industry publications, like those focused on manufacturing or insurance. We help define the top-tier publications in your industry and go after those.

That aligns with what we see working for our clients every day. Success isn’t about being everywhere—it’s about being in the right places, with the right message, consistently.

If you’re thinking about how your company shows up in AI tools like ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews, this report is a great place to start.

Growth is always exciting and when you are a small, tightknit team like we are, it is even more impactful.

For the last few months, we have had two new "islanders" join our team and hit the ground running. We have been so busy we are just now getting around to finally formally announcing them! We’re pleased to welcome Paula Larson and Lesley Rayer to the Wired Island team.

Both Paula and Lesley bring deep experience in B2B technology communications along with the wisdom and good sense of judgment that comes from having “done it all.”

Paula has had a long and successful career in high-tech PR, including many years at leading Silicon Valley agencies. Based out of California, she brings strong media relationships, strategic account leadership experience, and deep knowledge of the semiconductor and B2B tech ecosystem.

Lesley previously worked with us at Cadence back in the day and brings broad operational and communications experience. She’s based in Austin and is bringing us smart operational support for both the agency and our clients.

Wired Island has been fortunate to always be able to operate with a streamlined, senior-led model, and that continues with these additions who strengthen our ability to deliver thoughtful strategy and disciplined ex*****on for our clients.

Please join us in welcoming Paula and Lesley to Wired Island.

Last summer, we partnered with eyeo to introduce a new approach to image sensing. Wired Island helped bring their story to market alongside their €15M seed round.

That initial launch did what it was supposed to do:
it put eyeo on the map with the right media, the right narrative, and the right audience at a critical moment in their growth. Now, we’re excited to continue the journey.

eyeo has officially retained Wired Island to support ongoing PR and communications as they move from early visibility into sustained market presence!

This is where the work really begins. In deep tech, a single announcement isn’t enough. Building credibility means showing up consistently, educating the market, contributing to industry conversations, and reinforcing why the technology matters over time.

eyeo is tackling a fundamental challenge in imaging—rethinking how cameras capture light—and we’re looking forward to helping them continue to shape that story as the company scales.

More to come!

Synaptics is helping shape two of the most important conversations in industrial AI right now—featured in the March edition of EE Times - Electronic Engineering Times.

First: how predictive maintenance is evolving.
As AI moves closer to the machine, the industry is still working through a fundamental question—where should intelligence live? From sensors to gateways to the cloud, Synaptics brings a clear perspective: it’s not one place, it’s a distributed, heterogeneous approach that reflects real-world complexity.

Second: what it actually takes to run AI at the edge.
In a contributed article, Synaptics outlines the shift from centralized AI to always-on, real-time intelligence embedded directly into industrial systems—driven by latency, data volume, and security requirements. The takeaway is clear: silicon choices and system architecture are becoming just as critical as the models themselves.

Across both pieces, one theme stands out:
AI in industrial environments is moving from experimentation to deployment—and the decisions being made now will define how it scales.

Great to see Synaptics contributing both perspective and leadership to these discussions.

As one of the original Islanders, Lynda has been with us through every tide 🌊navigating calm waters, weathering storms, and helping steer the ship forward with clarity, resilience, and care.

It hasn’t always been smooth sailing (what journey ever is?), but one thing has never changed: we’ve always had a dependable first mate in Lynda.

She brings experience, perspective, and a steady hand, but just as importantly, she brings heart. The kind that shows up for the team, for our clients, and for the moments in between that really define who we are.

Jumping head first into your big birthday weekend 🎉and it feels like the right moment to pause and reflect on just how much you mean to Wired Island.

Lynda, thank you for everything you’ve given to this team and this journey. We wouldn’t be who we are without you.

Happy Birthday and we love you!

— Your Wired Island family

Two months into 2026 and we’ve already helped our clients publish nine thought leadership articles in top-tier business and trade media.

For us, thought leadership isn’t filler content. It’s a strategic tool.

When the news cycle is slow, it keeps visibility steady.
When a company wants to introduce a new angle, it opens the conversation.
When a major announcement is coming, it lays the groundwork so the market is ready to listen.

In crowded industries like semiconductors, AI, photonics, and supply chain tech, visibility alone isn’t enough. Perspective matters.

Proud of our team — and grateful to the editors who continue to make space for smart, forward-looking industry dialogue.

You can find all these thoughtful articles in the results section of our website: https://www.wiredislandpr.com/results/ 👏

Leadership isn’t defined by a title. It’s defined by influence.

In communications, influence looks like shaping strategy, guiding executives, managing risk, and helping organizations speak with clarity when it matters most.

Many of the strongest leaders we work with—inside client teams, journalists, industry partners, and our own team—are women bringing judgment, steadiness, and the confidence to challenge assumptions.

That kind of leadership isn’t always loud.
But it moves companies forward.

Today, we recognize the women leading through influence, insight, and integrity.

Deep tech coverage that moves the narrative forward ➡️

This latest piece in Vision Systems Design does exactly that for Voyant Photonics—digging into how silicon photonics and FMCW are reshaping what lidar can deliver beyond the automotive conversation.

For Voyant, this isn’t about incremental improvement. It’s about redefining performance, scalability, and cost structures for industrial automation, robotics, and warehouse systems—markets that demand precision, reliability, and real-world deployability.

When we started working together, the goal was clear:
Separate Voyant from the crowded lidar noise and anchor the story in differentiated technology with practical market impact.

This article from Voyant CEO Clément Nouvel is a strong example of that strategy in action. It has technical depth, a credible platform in VSD, and a narrative that reflects where the industry is actually heading.

Momentum matters. And we’re excited to continue building it alongside the Voyant team.

Fifteen years is a long time in tech—and an even longer time in PR.

Prophesee has been one of our longest-standing client partnerships, and that longevity didn’t happen by accident. It happened because of trust, shared ambition, and a willingness to grow together through many chapters of the company’s story. Long-term client relationships are something we’re deeply proud of. They allow us to build real understanding, operate as an extension of a team, and create lasting value over time.

Much of that starts with Luca Verre. From the earliest days, Luca trusted us to help tell a bold, highly technical story before “event-based vision” was even a category. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of growing alongside him and the Prophesee team as the company helped define an entirely new approach to machine vision.

As Luca steps into his next venture, we want to say thank you—for the trust, the partnership, and the many years of collaboration. We’re excited to see what you build next.

You can read more about his journey over on Junko Yoshida's Tech Probe: https://junkoyoshidaparis.substack.com/p/prophesee-which-comes-first-ecosystem

Disruptive innovation is every startup’s dream. But creating a new market with disruptive technology is much harder. I caught up with Luca Verre, who resigned late last year from Prophesee.

Today is International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

We work with engineers, scientists, founders, and technologists who are shaping what comes next. Many of them are women who bring rigor, curiosity, and real-world impact to deeply complex work.

Progress in science does not happen by accident. It happens when talent is supported, voices are heard, and opportunities are real. That starts early and it continues every day in classrooms, labs, startups, and leadership teams.

Today is a moment to recognize the women and girls pushing boundaries, asking better questions, and building the future with skill and determination.

We see it up close. We value the work. And we’re proud to help tell those stories.
