You don't have to change your entire marketing strategy overnight. That's not a sustainable way to run your business! Instead, if you're taking a do-it-yourself approach to marketing, focus on forming new habits over time.

Here are a few to help you get started ⬇️

1: SET CLEAR GOALS

Every month, sit down and create a list of marketing goals for the next 30 days.

2: FOCUS ON YOUR "WHY"

Get back to the root of your business. WHY are you an entrepreneur? What drives you? What makes you passionate?

3: CREATE DEDICATED TIME FOR YOUR MARKETING

Set a recurring time block in your calendar for marketing tasks you would otherwise put off.

4: ASK QUESTIONS

Don’t be afraid to seek out answers to the things you don’t know. You don’t have to figure it all out on your own! (Hint: I'm always happy to answer your questions!)

5: LOG OFF

If you spend all your time posting on socials or looking at metrics, you’ll burn out. Set one day of your work week as a “no marketing” day.

And don't forget: you have a marketer in your corner! If you’re ready to craft a marketing strategy that works without burnout, reach out and let’s chat!

You don't need to post more often. ❌

If you already post once or twice a week, frequency isn't the problem.

Does anyone remember when experts recommended posting 2X/day on your socials? Thankfully, the algorithm doesn't require constant posting anymore.

So if you're already posting once or twice a week but aren't getting engagement...

It's time to look at WHAT you're posting.

Are you creating FOR your target audience? Is your content relevant, timely, useful?

If your posts aren't working, go back to the drawing board. Start from square one. WHO is your audience? WHAT do they want? HOW can your posts provide value to them?

Low engagement isn't a sign to give up. It's a sign to get a fresh start. And I'm here to help!

Send me a message and let's work on your content strategy together ✨

You need to slow down.

If your marketing isn't working, it's time to take a step back.

Don't try to do it all at once. Don't get caught up in what everyone else is doing.

Your marketing strategy should be curated to YOUR BUSINESS goals and needs. Ditch the trends, press pause on the elaborate funnels. Start at square one: What are YOUR business goals, and how can your marketing plan support them?

Send me a DM. Let's sit down together and talk about what a slow approach to marketing would look like in your business. ✨

Instagram has been making some major updates lately! Here's what you need to know👇

1: FRIEND MAP 📌

Shares your location with Friends, Close Friends, or a select list of friends that you choose. IG has stated that this feature is off by default, and you have to choose to turn it on, but if you're concerned about safety or data privacy, it’s a good idea to open the map and choose “don’t share location” just in case.

2: "FRIENDS" FEED IN REELS 🤝

Allows you to filter your Reels feed to only show Reels your friends have interacted with. This includes Reels your friends have liked, commented on, or shared with you via Blends.

3: REPOSTS 🔁

Gives you the ability to share other accounts’ content to your followers’ feeds. Your followers can share your content to their followers’ feeds. When reposting, you have the option to add a note to your repost. Think of this as similar to the repost feature on Twitter (aka X).

Are you posting consistently without results?

It's not just you.

We're not in 2015 anymore. It’s harder than ever to gain traction on social media. So let’s make sure you’re avoiding the most common social media marketing mistakes!

1: Posting Sporadically ❌

Some businesses only post when they have a big business update. Their hours are changing, their service menu is updated, they’ve launched a new website...

But one of the vital purposes of posting is to show that you’re still in business! Even 1 post per week is enough to let people know you haven’t shut your doors.

2: No Consistent Brand Visuals ❌

Your branding is how people know that you are a PROFESSIONAL. They’ll only take your business as seriously as you take it (or as you SEEM to take it, based on your socials). So make sure you’re putting your best foot forward with a consistent visual style!

3: No Cohesive Brand Voice ❌

Messaging isn’t as fun as visual branding, but it is just as important to your marketing and branding. Make sure you have a strong brand voice (that speaks to YOUR target audience) and use it consistently!

4: No STRATEGY ❌

Publishing a Reel once a week isn’t a strategy! You need a real, strategic plan structured around GOALS if you want to see results.

5: Missing CTAs ❌

Your social media won’t do much if you don’t have CLEAR CTAs. You need to tell your audience exactly what you want them to do.

If you're ready to start seeing RESULTS from your social media marketing, send me a DM to schedule a discovery consultation!

What to expect when you schedule a strategic consultation 📌

✨ I'll answer your most pressing marketing questions.

✨ We'll review your current marketing efforts together, finding weaknesses and gaps.

✨ I'll help you create marketing goals that support the goals you've set in your biz.

✨ We'll create the framework for a marketing strategy that supports your new marketing goals.

✨ When we leave the session, we'll both have a list of next steps to get your new marketing strategy up and running.

And the best part? This structure is FLEXIBLE.

If you only have the budget for a few hours, we can focus on the basics - you'll leave feeling confident that you can continue building out your strategy on your own.

But if you have the budget to work on this across a larger package of hours, we can break it up into smaller pieces and dig into the fine details. I'll be able to get deeply familiar with you and your biz, and guide you through building out your marketing strategy.

In other words: No matter what your budget looks like, this service allows me to support you in an accessible format. 💥

Are you using your pinned posts effectively?

You can only pin 1 post at a time on FB and 3 posts on IG. Make sure you're using them to your advantage!

On Facebook, use your pinned post to provide important updates on your business (like changes to your hours) or to promote a special deal or event.

On Instagram, use your pinned posts to introduce yourself/your biz, provide a list of your products/services, or to promote a special deal or event.

Need fresh new ideas for your social media content this week? Try these out ⬇️

✨ A Day in My Life

Film small clips throughout the day showing how you spend your work day!
“Come with me on a day in my life as a...” People love to see what it’s really like for entrepreneurs working in different industries. And it gives you the chance to showcase what clients can expect when they work with you (i.e. building trust)!

✨ An Underrated Product/Service

Is there a product or service you offer that doesn’t get enough attention? Something that provides lots of value but isn’t as flashy or popular? Tell your audience about it!

✨ Reintroduction

I’m a big fan of taking the time to reintroduce yourself to your audience every once in a while! It allows new followers to get to know you, but it also allows you to update long-time followers on how your business has changed since they first met you!

Try these out and let me know how it goes!
