Georges AKEM is a Cameroonian writer, speaker, researcher, Christian thought leader. He serves as pastor at the Lighthouse Gospel Center while building a career across the diplomatic and corporate worlds. His work draws on lived experience of Cameroon's Anglophone crisis and the humanitarian and missionary landscape of Central Africa. THE WEIGHT OF A NAME is his debut novel, spanning three generations and three countries — South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Cameroon — exploring inherited trauma, faith, and the cost of public purpose through the lives of three women bound together by survival, sacrifice, and a single contested name.
