You should know which terms people type into search engines like Google, and include them strategically in your content, H1, H2, H3 tags, alt text, and url so that your content appears higher on a search engine results page (SERP).

1. Use interesting, relevant, engaging copy

Be sure to use a reputable email marketing provider. DO NOT send out mass emails from your personal email account. It is illegal and will get your email flagged as spam.

2. It bores your friends.
3. It does not drive potential customers to your business page.
4. It's unprofessional
5. If you have your profile page set to 'public' it is dangerous to share personal information.

What you should do instead.

1. Build followers on your business page.
2. Post regularly to your business page.
3. Make posts interesting, informative, and engaging.
4. Include a photograph with your posts. According to Kissmetrics, photos get 53% more likes,104% more comments and 84% more click-throughs on links than text-based posts.
5. Occasionally share posts from your business page to your personal page but ONLY if they will be of interest to your friends. e.g. blog posts, events, etc.
6. Ask your followers to share your posts.
7. Share your posts in groups with like-minded people.
