The question we hear all the time is:
"I comment on other people's posts, but nothing ever comes from it."
Most of the time, it's not that you're commenting; it's how you're commenting.
A quick "Great post!" is easy to scroll past. It doesn't create a conversation or give someone a reason to respond.
Instead, use this simple three-step approach:
✅ Acknowledge what they shared to show you actually read the post.
✅ Add value by sharing a helpful tip, insight, or experience.
✅ Ask a question that invites them to keep the conversation going.
For example:
"Great reminder about home maintenance schedules. We've noticed that homeowners who check their air filters regularly tend to avoid more emergency service calls. Have you seen the same with your customers?"
Comments like this do more than increase visibility—they build relationships. And over time, those relationships become referrals, partnerships, and new business opportunities.
Remember: social media isn't just about posting content. It's about starting conversations.
