Trust me, I get it...social media marketing and branding is overwhelming af, especially as a small business owner. 🙆‍♀️

My biggest piece of advice for someone getting started in their marketing journey is: JUST START. Start small! Even if you can only commit to posting once per week or spending one hour looking at branding inspiration on Pinterest, just start the process. Once you get started and remain consistent, you'll start to see the fruits of your effort and it will only make you want more. If you need help getting started or want an accountability buddy, I'm here for you!

If you wait for everything to be perfect, you'll never get started...that's why it took me forever to start Comma, because I had to learn this lesson. 🙃

Sometimes you have to jump out of a plane to make big decisions. Sometimes you just need to be surrounded by people who love and support you. And sometimes you even have to do hard things all by yourself.

I've loved to write since I was young. Horrible poems decorated in profound clip art, short stories I never let anyone else read, some essays that earned me my fair share of A's. Words are powerful, and how you use them can affect people in many ways.

Next time you start to write a caption, new product listing, a home's description, or even an email; analyze your words. Replace the mundane and write in a way to make people FEEL something. That is how you'll stand out in a way that actually means something.

When it comes to creating a brand, so much more goes into it than colors, logos, and fonts. How you make people FEEL is the most important aspect to brand identity and all of the other aspects make that feeling happen.

I want Comma to feel fun, creative, and unique to anyone who sees my work. I think little Leonard really helps with that. 🦎
