“I bought 3 of these water alarms - after a leaky pipe caused a problem. Now, months later, the alarm under the kitchen sink went off - because a fitting on the side of the garbage disposal sprang a leak and was flooding the cabinet under the sink. The alarm went off when there was only a little water - but I would not have even known there was a problem until there had been a lot of damage. This little alarm saved me a lot of $$$ this week. It is really, really loud. The water sensor has 2 metal contacts - it is probably a good idea to clean them from time to time. That and a periodic battery replacement should keep it going for a long time.”
