Lighting Breakdown | presented by Sidus Link & Procreate

We leaned into the natural light and largely used reflectors and negative fill to shape it.

Gaffer: Adam
Key Grip: Tanner Hall

On this frame, we had lost the sun, so Adam brought out a fixture to help recreate the edge light that the sun had been providing all day.

The large reflector really helped wrap the sunlight so we had both solid edge light and a key in one source.

It took a lot of negative fill to create the right contrast. The diagram shows one flag, but it was actually both a large frame AND a 40x floppy.

These frames are all natural light!

My personal favorite frame.

Gear vs the shot from ‘Slow Down’ - an award-winning music video for K.ZIA filmed in London.

We shot on the Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera 6K (same sensor as Pyxis) with the DZOFILM OFFICIAL ACCOUNT Arles Primes - a lethal combo. Graded in Resolve with Dehancer

Because of it being an international trip, I only could fit the 50mm and 100mm, so we made it work!
