I've got a few secrets to share that could help you rank higher than your competitors on Google. Interested? Keep reading.

↗️ Keeping your Google profile fresh is one of the simplest ways to boost your visibility, attract local customers, and give your business the credibility it deserves.

Your Google profile (formerly known as Google My Business) is often the first place customers find you online. It’s like a digital front door—if your info isn’t accurate or looks out of date, people might move on to someone else who looks a little more current.

Plus, Google’s algorithm loves fresh info, so updating your profile can give you a boost in local search results.

5 ways to update your Google profile (and keep it looking sharp)

→ Double-check your basic info
Start with the essentials: your business name, address, phone number, and website. Make sure everything is correct and up-to-date. Even small details matter here—Google and your customers love accuracy.

Note: If you're a small business owner who works from home, you'll need to add your home address in order to start the verification process. Once that process is complete, you can hide your address from the public.

→ Add high-quality, relevant photos & videos
People love visuals, and Google loves showing profiles with great photos. Upload current, high-quality photos and videos (up to 30 seconds) that showcase your business, products, or services. Update these at least once a month to keep things fresh!

→ Add your social profiles
This is a relatively new feature, so be sure your social media profiles are connected to your Google profile.

→ Add your service areas
Google now lets you add up to 20 service areas. When someone searches for your type of business, Google will note their location and give them a result for their area.

→ Encourage and respond to reviews
Reviews are a major trust factor for customers and a key ranking factor for Google. Encourage happy customers to leave positive reviews and be sure to respond to them. To make it easier, send customers a custom link from your profile.

Tip: If you open your profile, you'll see an icon labeled "Ask for reviews." Click on that to get a custom link to send to your customers.

Messaging that works

Cut through the social media clutter

If your messaging is unclear and confusing, potential customers will scroll on by until they find information they can connect to. Connection. That’s my specialty. I create messaging that connects you to others in a meaningful way so that they engage with your posts and ultimately with your business. In other words, I’m focused on conversion.

Create blogs that work

Maybe you’ve tried to blog but just can’t find the time to do it consistently. Or maybe you just don’t like writing. Well, I do. And I can create custom blogs for your brand that you can post on your website and across social media to show your knowledge leadership.
