Creating a painting for someone’s home is about so much more than choosing a pretty colour palette. 🎨

I’m always thinking about how a piece will live within a space — the light, the scale, the colours already around it, the texture and, most importantly, how I want the painting to make you feel.

I don’t believe art has to perfectly match your interiors. In fact, I think the most interesting spaces are often the ones where the artwork brings something unexpected.

One of my favorite bouquet commissions to date ✨

This 40” x 40” wedding bouquet portrait was created to capture all the beauty and memories of my client’s special day. They wanted plenty of rich texture, so I used palette knife techniques and heavy-body paints by to bring the flowers to life, creating layers you can almost reach out and touch.

To make the soft, muted blooms stand out, we chose a beautiful blue-grey background, then finished the piece with floating textured petals and touches of gold leaf for a little extra magic.
