The Anatomy of Emotional Advertising on Facebook

Why MOST ads don’t work, why most ads fail and don’t convert profitably is mainly because — The audience can’t CONNECT with your Ads.

Too many marketers just focus on the surface level stuff... CPA, CPCs, CTRs.. scratching their heads over their underperforming metrics.

They think they’ve given it their best, incorporated everything into their ads they learned from all the tutorials, pushed all the right buttons— then are left dumbfounded as to why “ads don’t work”.

You see, the medium/or channel might be Facebook.. but this is still Marketing & Advertising. How many actually take the time and effort to learn THAT?

When you put out a product/service in the marketplace with the goal to get your desired conversion, remember your marketplace is made up of people, and people are EMOTIONAL.

People make emotional decisions, people are lead by their emotions and people connect with things (and other people) emotionally!

How many marketers actually go DEEP into that? - Unfortunately very few!

Marketing is simply taking a good product/service and positioning it in the right market, with sharp targeting and impeccable messaging. Advertising simply helps accelerate that process.

But if people can’t CONNECT with your marketing, if they can’t connect with your advertising — you “funnel” just won’t work — no matter HOW good the targeting is.

What do I mean by that?

People want to feel like your business or service will solve their problem. You need to be able to COMMUNICATE this to them effectively.

So what’s the fastest way to do that?

Draw a straight line in your prospects’ minds using your messaging. Show them they’re at point A (their pain point)… and show them Point B at the end off the line (where they want to be).

Now show them in 3-4 EASY steps how you’re going to take them from Point A to Point B.. those 3-4 steps are the CORE pillars of your service.

The 4 MAIN things you NEED to do:
- Base your solution in your prospects “pain” and how it solves their problem
- Focus on benefits NOT features - talk about benefits in copy, illustrate benefits in video
- Use video ads to tell stories that your prospects can emotionally connect with
- Focus on long form copywriting & script your videos based in benefits & problem solving mechanisms

When you base your solution in their pain and show them that you can take them from point A to point B:
✔️ Your prospects will connect with YOU instantly
✔️ You'll get higher conversion rates
✔️ Facebook will deliver yours ads more effectively
✔️ You’ll easily get more customers and make more money

If you can't get any attention to your business...it probably looks like this:

- your pipeline is dry
- you have no inbound calls
- you working with a marketing agency that's providing the same cookie cutter service with 0 results and you just feel LOST.

Because your "message" needs to resonate with your market.

Your messaging needs to be so airtight, that you can grab your readers' attention from the first line, keep them glued to everything you've written or said, and keep them WITH YOU till the END of your message.

Attention is a scarce resource, it has always been a scarce resource - but now it's more scarce that ever. Instagram & Facebook is just loaded with one post after the next, and people are 'hooked' to scrolling - the hardest thing you will do is get their attention and keep it..

So the next time you put out a post or a video or a sales funnel and throw ads and don't see any leads or calls, please don't get disappointed - just remember that getting and keeping attention is hard... the CURE is strong airtight messaging that resonates with your audience.

Going from initial attention to massive momentum..

It takes a robust system that grows over time.

We’ve all know how difficult it is to GROW a business.

The absence of growth stems from insufficient attention from your market. That’s what it really comes down to - 𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡.

Realizing this is so powerful, and is the first step in aligning your focus on doing exactly 2 things, that pulls in an absurd amount of attention on you & your business.

But If you don’t realize this, your mind will literally talk you out of focusing on these attention producing actions.

That'll lead to working on things that don’t really help your business grow, and will result in fewer leads and/or bad leads..which directly has a NEGATIVE impact on your revenue.

So how to hack “attention” fast?! Just focus on TWO things daily:

1. Your market’s deepest problems/pains
2. Your messaging to your market

Consume yourself with why your market is stuck & how much it impacts their wellbeing. Focus on creating copy/messaging that speaks directly to them, empowers them and gives them hope!

Attention follows authority.. and focusing on just those 2 things everyday helps you establish authority in your market.

So do that, and the rate at which you acquire attention will be exponential, and it’s impact on your business/revenue will be profound.

Is it possible to GROW through a recession?

Sometimes we have to think about growth in terms of seasons.

The process of growth that I’ve seen for our clients in business has come from categorically going through various business seasons.

There are 4 seasons in nature. One for planting, tending, reaping the harvest, and one for starting over.

But we don’t always pay attention to the season we’re in. Instead we have expectations, regardless of the season we are in.

So when a black swan event comes along, it shatters all those expectations, the economy comes to a standstill, jobs are lost and it causes panic and anxiety.

So Is it possible to GROW through a recession then? Absolutely it is. If you view it from the lens of the specific season that nature has brought about.

Just like the weather, we have business seasons.

The way we see it, we are in the season of starting over. Planting something anew. Re-learning, re-focusing. And starting over.

We’ll then tend to it and reap the harvest shortly after.

SO THINk of what your business can do RIGHT NOW (planting)...

and keep working on that behind the scenes (tending)...

So when this dust settles, your business will come out on TOP and you’ll have new customers, and old buying from you in BULK (Reaping the harvest).
