When I mention to women that a good portion of my thought leadership is around women feeling dismissed and unheard in the healthcare setting, they almost always respond with, "that happened to me" or "I know someone that happened to."

I talk more about this topic on the pausitivehealth "Menopause the pausitive Way" podcast. I will always take the opportunity to amplify what so many women are experiencing that healthcare is turning a blind eye to.

After decades of working in hospitality and hospital systems, with million- and billion- dollar brands, in research, marketing, branding, facilitation, event design, entrepreneurship and in rooms full of people trying to figure things out…it’s actually hard to put what I do into one tidy label or 220 character intro statement on LinkedIn.

This is not an era to be modest, humble or demure about a 30+ year career. It's time to be bold...and maybe the simplest way for me to say it is this:

"If you need it…Laura can do that!"

So in true "Rosie the Riveter" form, here we go...

1. You need a strategic thinker who can take the ideas in your organization and help your team turn them into something clear, focused and actionable?

Laura can do that!

2. You need a facilitator who can walk into a room of strong personalities and actually get alignment and decision-making?

Laura can do that!

3. You need someone to uncover what your patients, customers or employees are really thinking but aren’t saying out loud?

Laura can do that!

4. You need a qualitative market researcher who can translate insights into marketing, brand or experience strategy?

Laura can do that!

5. You need a speaker who can talk about patient trust, communication or the human side of healthcare or about women finding joy in a later season of life?

Laura can do that!

6. You need a workshop leader who can help your team build ideas, solve problems and see things differently (yes, sometimes with LEGO bricks)?

Laura can do that!

7. You need help shaping a story so it actually connects with real people?

Laura can do that!

8. You need help designing a branded experience your audience will remember and talk about?

Laura can do that!

In this new "Laura can do that!" series, I will bring a closer look at what this work actually looks like in executive sessions, cross-functional teams and strategic conversations that matter.

If you found this useful, feel free to share this article with a leader whose organization is feeling stuck and let's talk it out!

Talk it out. Shake it up. Make it Real!

P.S. Boldness in your career is about being clearer. Clear about your strengths. Clear about your value. Clear about the rooms you’re meant to be in. And YOU can do that!

I am so excited about this new offering! You’ve got a team full of energy, creativity, and ambition but somehow, all those big ideas just keep bouncing around without landing. (I remember these days.)

Sound familiar?

This is what it feels like when there’s no system, no alignment, and no time to slow down and actually build something.

- Endless, boring, uninspired meetings.
- No traction.
- No next step.

That’s where I come in. As a Certified Facilitator in the LEGO® Serious Play® Method, Burke Institute-trained focus group facilitator and schooled in facilitation methodologies via the Creative Problem Solving Institute, I help teams move from scattered to strategic. Let's get the ideas out of your head, off the trampoline, and into real momentum.

🎙️ New Desperate for a Diagnosis Podcast Episode:
Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy: What Your Doctor Didn’t Tell You (But Should Have)

May is Pelvic Health Awareness Month and on my latest podcast episode, I sit down with pelvic floor physical therapist Alina Gur to debunk the myths and misunderstandings surrounding pelvic floor therapy.

We talk about:
✅ Why so many women with pelvic pain are dismissed or misdiagnosed for up to six years
✅ How pelvic floor dysfunction affects more than just postpartum women
✅ The real signs you might need pelvic floor PT (even if your doctor hasn’t mentioned it)
✅ What therapy actually involves from breathing techniques to trauma-informed care
✅ Why access is still a huge barrier for patients

If you’ve ever been told “everything looks fine” while still feeling like something is wrong, this episode is for you.

Link in comments or you can find the episode wherever you listen to your podcast.

Thank you Laura Bennett London!!

When you are alone and have a heart attack. What are you gonna do then ?
A rarely good post that can't be shared often enough:

1. Take a 2 minute break and read this:
Let's say it's 5:25 pm and you're driving home after an unusually hard day's work.

2. You are really tired and frustrated.
All of a sudden your chest pains. They are starting to radiate in the arm and jaw. It feels like being stabbed in the chest and heart. You're only a few miles away from the nearest hospital or home.

3. Unfortunately you don't know if you can make it..

4. Maybe you've taken CPR training, but the person running the course hasn't told you how to help yourself.

5. How do you survive a heart attack when you're alone when it happens? A person who is feeling weak and whose heart is beating hard has only about 10 seconds before losing consciousness.

6. But you can help yourself by coughing repeatedly and very strongly! Deep breaths before every cough. Coughing should be repeated every second until you arrive at the hospital or until your heart starts to beat normally.

7. Deep breathing gives oxygen to your lungs and coughing movements boost the heart and blood circulation. Heart pressure also helps to restore a normal heartbeat. Here's how cardiac arrest victims can make it to the hospital for the right treatment

8. Cardiologists say if someone gets this message and passes it on to 10 people, we can expect to save at least one life.

9. FOR WOMEN: You should know that women have additional and different symptoms. Rarely have crushing chest pain or pain in the arms. Often have indigestion and tightness across the back at the bra line plus sudden fatigue.

Instead of posting jokes, you're helping save lives by spreading this message.
