Coosa Connects

Although we are all still taking precautions with Covid, I would like to see a show of hands. Coosa Connects is a networking group/event for Business professionals in East Alabama including northeastern Shelby, Coosa, Talladega and St. Clair counties.  regular weekly meetings would not resume without sufficient interest however I would like to see how many individuals would be interested in a monthly evening event such as a mixer. Food, raffles, speakers and even possibly entertainment. The desiire of course is to create business referral connections and become familiar with those providing services for the area in which you operate. Whether you provide lawn service, home painting, life/property insurance, health services or even on a circus. Please reply in the comments as interested and leave your email address or private message me your address after saying interested. Good afternoon to all. I hope everyone is healthy and sheltering in place as comfortably as possible. We have a few announcements and I figured while most everybody is at home on Facebook I would take the opportunity to reach out and explain them. Forgive me for being forward however due to lack of involvement of business individuals in the Talledega County and surrounding communities we will be stopping regular weekly meetings of Coosa connects.

Before I move forward I would just like to thank the few individuals who have been proactive and have helped me in my networking endeavors. Thank you to Jay Cobb with residential Alabama, Janice Saunders Grohs With Renasant Bank, Tom Roberts with the greater Coosa Valley Chamber of Commerce, and most recently everyone who has attended our meetings from cadence Bank as well as Frank Gruber. All of you were fully behind this project and I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. 

Now, moving forward because the page has been one of the few successes of the group we will be continuing the group via a digital format. What I would like since I know that everyone is at home on Facebook is a little input from people who either own businesses, are 1099 commission employees Or anyone in a management position of a business that is free to pursue marketing and collaboration efforts. Clearly there were things about the group that were off putting. By that I mean you were uncomfortable with the thought of referral-based networking or didn’t understand it, the issue may have also been the weekly commitment or the possibility of having to pay fees. What I am asking for is information such as that. What would make you be involved? What things made you not be involved. If everyone will work with me a little bit I can hopefully Craft a better organization because everyone needs help marketing and everyone can benefit from collaboration. Thank you very much and I will be awaiting any and all answers and or criticism. As I’m sure they will be some.
