I had the pleasure of recently illustrating some custom brand apparel T-shirt's for Mencor's Tree Service to be featured at this years Wendell & Clayton Harvest Festival's. They requested a graphic T-shirt that they could wear year round to promote their brand! For this year's requirements, I was tasked to incorporate the owner Khelvin's dog, a vintage truck, a barn, tree equipment, as well as a wood chipper into the illustration. ✏️

Featuring the new branding for Brown Pelican Construction, L.L.C! Jay and Rachel Grady, a father and daughter team, wanted a warm, approachable brand that is built on trust and dependability. Their vision was more than just a pelican logo; they wanted a symbol of strength, resilience, and the coastal lifestyle they bring to life in every custom build, from the heart of Johnston County all the way to the Crystal Coast.

Brown Pelican Construction serves a diverse range of homebuyers—from young families and first-time builders to newlyweds—crafting homes that balance affordable dependability with custom luxury features.

Proud to announce the new brand identity package for 's Critter Care LLC! Cassandra Bridges—a fellow Launch JOCO graduate and friend—came to me for a fresh, heartfelt take on her brand. She wanted something that reflected the love, care, and empathy she pours into her work and captured her passion for animals in a way that felt true to her personality.

I was thrilled to design not only her logos for her brand and business cards, but also supporting brand assets like patterns, custom icons, T-shirts, hoodies, and stickers.

When creating her brand mark, I knew it needed to be playful, bold, warm, and approachable—just like Cassie. I started by sketching concepts that used hearts, symbolizing care and connection. That sketching process sparked a larger idea: a cat and dog snuggled together, their noses forming little hearts, all wrapped in a heart-shaped mark. The perfect balance of simplicity and storytelling, showcasing that her care extends beyond just cats and dogs—she cares deeply for all animals.

To top it off, I paired it with a custom typeface that’s friendly and distinctive—making her brand instantly recognizable and emotionally resonant.

I'm beyond excited to see where Cassie takes her business next with this new brand of hers behind her! Thank you for trusting me with your brand!

Full Brand Identity Package Kit, Business Cards, and Responsive Website for Sterling Atkinson, C.P.A. P.L.L.C. located in Wilson, NC!

I was tasked with creating a professional and sophisticated brand for an accounting firm, while also incorporating a baseball-inspired logo to honor my client Sterling’s love for the game. The goal was to craft something that resonated with him personally while maintaining an approachable yet professional appeal for his target audience.

For his brand mark, I designed a custom wax seal stamp — the kind you might find on a sophisticated envelope — and incorporated his initials inside the stamp in a fun way that gives it a Major League Baseball (MLB) team look and feel. I went all out on his branding to ensure the logo was fully adaptable for his social media, print collateral, and website.

I recently had the pleasure of developing a branding strategy for BSHAW Enterprises, founded by Trista Blandshaw. Trista, a former classmate of mine in Launch JOCO and a great friend, is an independent field inspector specializing in property condition assessments, compliance inspections, and aerial imagery services such as drone inspections.

She requested a logo design that was minimalistic yet professional—something timeless and easily recognizable for her B2B market.

"What do I get with one of your brand identity packages and why is it necessary to fill out a design brief?”…A question I get from time to time, but not from this particular client. Design briefs are essential because they provide the key details needed to craft a brand identity that truly represents a business. Branding is more than just a logo; it's visual storytelling/communicating that conveys the essence of an individual, business, or nonprofit.

Without this foundational information prior to designing, I wouldn’t have been able to tell Trista’s story effectively. See, I don’t just create logos—I craft brand identities that speak directly to a niche audience and encapsulates the unique story of a brand.

As I reflect upon the new year, I had planned on creating a cool illustration for New Year’s Eve, but I am completely swamped.

With that being said, I am genuinely truly grateful for the opportunities I’ve have been granted for the previous few months and this year as a whole. I went from struggling to find work this time last year to being completely booked for the next three months.

Man, I am humbly blessed to get to do what I love for a living. A year and a half ago, I couldn’t find a job but I still had a kickass portfolio. So I started my business. I struggled to network, meet new people, and speak in front of large crowds (in a professional manner). If you know me you know what I’m talking about 😂. Getting myself out there in my community and networking has been awesome. Establishing professional relationships and being apart of a community of entrepreneurs here in Clayton has been a rewarding experience.

Now, I am humble enough to know I am not the best designer in the world….far from it and still have a long ways to go to reach my goals; but I have been doing this for 8-9 years and I thought I would never see it pay off.

This year has proved that the previous statement is far from the truth.

If you have a dream and a goal, go for it. It may take 2-8 or even 9 years to achieve it but you can’t expect to ride the wave with your butt in the sand—get up, take action, and face the tide head-on. Success comes to those who dare to move.
