A new poem is live today on Story & Table Press--a piece I wrote in 2007 during my mission in Northern California.

Revisiting it now, it speaks to the themes of distance, memory, and becoming that continue to shape my life and work.

Some writing reveals its meaning only after life has had time to reshape us.

Amber recently revisited a poem she wrote before leaving home for college — words that once felt like simple nostalgia, but now carry the weight of family, loss, and the quiet ache of relationships that change with time.
