I’ve spent the last few months building an AI operations system for my own plastics brokerage before I ever thought about selling it to anyone else. Invoice follow-ups, supplier outreach reminders, HubSpot deal hygiene, calendar visibility for every load it all runs in the background while I’m on the road closing deals. I didn’t build a new app. I wired everything into the tools my business already uses. The biggest thing I learned: most small businesses don’t have an operations problem, they have a consistency problem. The systems exist. Nobody’s running them. I named the system Mollie, after my dog who passed earlier this year. She was with me for 12 years. Felt right to keep her in the work.
