Let’s talk about getting new customers—even if you don’t have a website. Most local businesses think a fancy site is required. It’s not. I’ve seen business owners win big with just a simple email marketing system.

Email marketing helps a local business stay connected with customers. It’s like sending letters through the internet! Your staff collects email addresses from people who are interested, then sends them messages.

These emails can share news, special deals, or updates about products or services. It’s a way to remind customers about your business and make them feel special with personalized offers. This can bring people back to your business or encourage them to buy something. Plus, it’s cheap and easy compared to other ads, helping the business grow by building strong customer relationships!

Did you know? How do you actually collect a customer's email address? There are plenty of simple, proven ways:

Ask at the checkout—just say, "Can I send you special offers and tips?"

Set up a sign-up sheet at your counter or reception area.

Use a digital form on a tablet or phone if you’re at events or markets.

My favorite - Offer a quick QR code in your store or on receipts that links to your sign-up page.

Include a sign-up link on your business cards, flyers, or invoices.
Make it part of your online booking or appointment process.

Sometimes we have to be reminded to keep marketing simple and easy! My clients get the best leads for the money with simple information forms and discounts.

In marketing, these are called OPT-IN forms. They allow us to capture emails, phone numbers and see when the prospects "open" our emails. This indicates "HOT" interest on their part.

Also, in the future, we can send out messages for free to all of our prospects and customers with upcoming sales, offers and give away promotions.

If your business is not using these forms on a regular basis, you are missing out on a great opportunity. Reach out to us if you need help or want to explore ways to generate more revenue.

Did you hear about that new ad agency marketer that made it big in just a few weeks, starting with no leads, no money and no experience?

No. Me neither.

Because it's not a real story....Let me correct that...It is a real story but not about the real inner workings. You see, it's a trick internet marketers use to try to suck you in. Sure, they made BIG money in a few weeks. But, they are not new nor are they inexperienced.

They won't tell you how much money they had to spend to get that return. They want to sell you on this "idea" that you can do it too. They leave out the details of their background and experience.

What is the best website for blogs? I see this question in many groups and my client base. For cost [Free] and ranking in the search engines, I always recommend WordPress.

There are 2 versions of WordPress. The one I prefer is a self-hosted installation of WordPress. This means the blog software is installed on a server you manage and control.

The other version of WordPress is located at WordPress.com. This version is hosted by a company. You pay a fee monthly or yearly to access this software.
