An evening that reminded us what community truly means. ❤️

On March 13, families, educators, sponsors, and friends gathered at The Paramount for the Cold Spring Harbor Educational Foundation POP Party — celebrating the partnership between the Foundation, the school district, and the community.

The event raised more than $168,000 to support programs and opportunities that enrich the student experience beyond the district budget. But even more meaningful was the sense of connection and resilience felt throughout the evening following the recent fire at West Side School.

From inspiring student stories to heartfelt words from Superintendent Joe Monastero, the night highlighted the incredible impact of a community that always shows up for its students.

For over a century, Cold Spring Harbor Library has been a place where community comes together. 📖✨

Children discover the joy of reading. Teens find a place to connect. Adults gather for classes, concerts, discussions, and lifelong learning. And everyone pauses for a moment on the porch to take in the harbor view.

What began as a small collection of books in 1886 has grown into one of Long Island’s most cherished community spaces. A true Cold Spring Harbor landmark, where memories are made every day.

As the library celebrates 20 years in its forever home, its story continues to grow with every family, every reader, and every memory made inside its walls.

Set above the harbor, it’s easily one of the most recognizable spots in the community- and one of the most used. Nearly 79,000 visitors come through each year, but it never feels crowded or overdone.
Inside, it’s active and welcoming. Outside, it’s all about the view: rocking chairs, open porch space, and sunsets that people actually stop to watch.
For a town of about 8,500 residents, it plays a big role: part library, part gathering place, part everyday routine.
It’s not just something Cold Spring Harbor has- it’s something the community really uses and values.
