1. Remove the words ‘sign up’ and ‘subscribe’. These are very high committing words which can put people off. ⁣⁣

Change to ‘I want in’ or ‘gimme that freebie’ etc. Something more fun which takes the pressure off.⁣⁣⁣

2. What’s in it for them? Offer a freebie or discount to encourage sign ups. People won’t want to sign up to hear ’the latest news from your company’. ⁣⁣

They don’t care about that so give them something they do care about. Something that’s gonna help them.⁣⁣⁣

3. Tell them how often they can expect emails and that they can unsubscribe at any time. ⁣⁣

Again it takes off the ‘high commitment’ pressure and removes the anxiety of “what if I sign up and they spam me all the time?”.⁣
