Micro habit 1️⃣: Take one photo + one video every workday.

One of the things I hear from small business owners is, “I never have anything to post.”

Usually, that’s not true. You just didn’t capture it while it was happening.

So don’t wait until you need to post to start looking for content.

📸 Take ONE photo and ONE short video during your normal workday. That’s it!

You don’t even need to know what you’ll use it for yet.

Future you, staring at Instagram wondering what the heck to post, will be very happy you did. 😂

Small habits → a much easier social media routine.

Five weeks ago, The Whispering Page was a space nobody had walked through yet. Last week, the doors opened! ❤️

I got to work behind the scenes with Ashley and Devin in the 4 weeks leading up to opening day, building their social presence (and BUZZ) and introducing the community to the bookstore coming to Worthington.

Then I got to show up on opening day and enjoy it!

I bought a gift card, ran into Tammy from Cooley Construction | Residential Home Remodels and got to make the sweetest bouquet at the Juniper & Honeysuckle bouquet bar. And, of course, I finally got to see people walking through a space I’d been talking about online for weeks.

This is what I ❤️: helping a small business tell its story before the doors even open, and then watching the community show up for it.

Congratulations to Ashley and Devin for creating something pretty awesome and diving into small business ownership!

I can’t wait to use my gift card!

Competition has never really resonated with me.

So when CreativeMornings Columbus invited me to speak on the theme of Competencia (Competition), I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to say.

As I started preparing, I realized something.

My biggest competition has rarely been another person.

It’s been the expectations I’ve placed on myself. The version of me I thought I needed to become before I was ready.

That realization completely changed the direction of my talk.

Thank you to 𝔸𝕦𝕕𝕣𝕖𝕪 for inviting me, Brandi Lust for helping me shape the story, and everyone who spent their Friday morning with us!

It had been a while since I’d attended a CreativeMornings event, and I left feeling inspired, challenged, and grateful to be part of such a thoughtful community.
