If you want more and bigger/healthier game where you hunt, you have to put in the work. A little sweat and a few hand tools make these mini-food plots an option for everyone. I started this one last year, and the first pic shows what grew back this spring on its own. Everything you can do to improve your woods will improve your hunting.

After a tornado kept us all away last year, it was great to be back in London Kentucky last weekend. There is nowhere in the world of 3-D more infamous than the Power-line of London. You better bring your “A” game to shoot there. The heavy timber combined with the wide open creates extremely difficult lighting conditions, and you will be fighting uphill / downhill along with side hill shots at every target. As always I shot with a great group of incredible shooters, and I was lucky enough to pull off a win.

I hate her looking like this, but the end result will be worth it. I dropped off everything but the scope at BSquared Gunsmithing LLC over the weekend. They are going to spray it in DutyKote by Modern Spartan Systems. DutyKote is modern high tech coating system that doesn’t need to be baked on like some coating systems. In only a few months this rig will be headed to Wyoming for Mule-deer.

Second place at the first leg of the IBO National Triple Crown sure isn’t a bad way to start off your tournament season. It felt great to finally shoot some foam this spring. Shooting with and against good friends who just happen to be some of the best in game is always a blast. There’s not much time to sit back and enjoy it though, my first ASA of the year is only two weeks out. Time to start getting ready for London Kentucky and the dreaded / infamous Power Line.

Time for a rant !!!!
If you end up a little across a property line when you’re working a turkey, I understand. When you kill a bird 5-600 yards from any property you have permission to be on that’s just a little different. When your hunting mountainous land that there’s no way you ever heard that bird form anywhere you were allowed to be it’s even worse. You didn’t mistakenly or unknowingly cross, you fully intended to trespass. When you shoot a bird in a location like that and your 150 yards in front of me you have made an even bigger mistake. Know this, there are more cameras in the woods than you know about, and theres about to be even more.
No names or specific details, but I know more than you think I do and I’ll soon know more.
