This was my first Mother’s Day without my mom, and I won’t pretend it was easy. It actually took me off guard , how hard it was.
Grief has a way of showing up loudly on days like this — in the quiet moments, in old memories, in the instinct to pick up the phone and call her.
I missed her laugh, her voice, her advice, and the comfort of simply knowing she was there. At the same time, I felt grateful for every lesson, every hug, and every piece of her that still lives on in me.
For anyone else navigating Mother’s Day with loss in their heart, you’re not alone today. Loving someone deeply means carrying them with you, even after they’re gone. ❤️
