๐จ๐ ISAIAS UPDATE: 12Z MODEL SUITE IS IN! ๐๐จ
Grab your coffee โ because the morning spaghetti plot is a WIDE one, y'all! ๐
๐ THE TRACK SPREAD:
The guidance is fanned out across the northern Gulf Coast. On the western edge, a few members push toward SE Louisiana and the Mississippi coast near Mandeville and Gulfport. ๐ The heart of the bundle sits over the Alabama coast near Mobile and Bay Minette. On the eastern edge, members swing across Pensacola and into the Florida Panhandle and southwest Georgia. ๐ด
That's roughly a 150+ mile window for where the center could cross the coast. โ ๏ธ Don't marry the center line! This spread means the exact landfall point is still very much in play.
โก THE BIG CONCERN: RAPID INTENSIFICATION โก
Rapid intensification into a MAJOR HURRICANE is absolutely on the table. ๐ฅ The northern Gulf in early October has plenty of warm water to fuel it. Storms like this can ramp up FAST in the final 24 to 36 hours before landfall. Do NOT wait until the last minute to prep! โฐ
๐ IMPACTS WON'T STAY AT THE CENTER:
If you're in PANAMA CITY or anywhere along the Panhandle and think you're in the clear because the track is west, think again. ๐
โโ๏ธ Hurricanes are NOT a point on a map! Well east of the center, expect:
๐ง๏ธ Heavy rain bands and flash flooding
๐ช๏ธ Tornado threat in the outer bands
๐ Storm surge and coastal flooding
๐๏ธ Dangerous rip currents (stay out of the water!)
๐จ Gusty onshore winds
