Self Assessment time: Business Edition

Open your CRM right now. I'll wait.

Three numbers in there will tell you whether your business is real — or a story you've been telling yourself.

→ Last touch date. Sort by it. Everybody you haven't talked to in 90 days? That's not a database. That's a list of relationships bleeding out while you weren't looking.

→ Overdue tasks. Not how many tasks — how many are past due. A stack of overdue follow-ups isn't a busy pipeline, skipper. It's a pile of promises you broke to yourself.

→ Stage accuracy. Pull 10 leads. Does the stage match where the deal actually is? Half of 'em wrong, and you're not running a pipeline. You're running a pile bs.

The rule that fixes all three: if it's not in the CRM, it didn't happen. Log every conversation, same day, 5 days a week.

That's it. That's the engine.

The CRM doesn't give a damn how you feel about your business. That's exactly why it's the only thing that ever told me the truth.
