I’m a single mom of two a boy and a girl and I had to leave my apartment due to increase on rent and no longer being able to afford to live there.
I got behind on rent due to taking the entire summer off last year due to not having a baby sitter to watch them as I work I went back to work the first day they started school in August so I was playing catch up the entire year until I couldn’t do it anymore and I had to leave in June this year and ever since I’ve had no help or luck at any of the shelters from fort worth, Arlington, McKinney, Dallas, Plano, Denton etc Ive even reach out to other states because I’m not sure what to do they informed me the same thing. Ive called every number on every resource list provided to me and all are full of capacity I’ve went in person to salvation army in person to family gateway etc Im at my breaking point because my children have had to sleep in the car get ready for school at gas stations Im trying my best to keep them in school and on time and I can’t focus like this.
I recently got approve for childcare so im able to work full time I have a Barbers license and Im a licenced Life, health accidental death, and hmo insurance agent I just got hired at my kids school so I should be able to start soon and currently still have no where to go. I recently lost my car so we aren’t able to even sleep in the car at this point I’m exhausted and tired. I have no family support the childrens dad does not help out at all none of the the places that suppose to help from resource list are assisting, I have literally lost everything from my car, my place, my previous job the only thing I have left is my kids and my mental and im close to losing my mind. Im a hard worker I try my best to be a great mom and my kids ask me everyday where are we going today, do you have money to get us a room etc and I dont know what to tell them. Im in desperate need of some type of help mainly shelter
