Instagram recently started rolling out business profiles to users who have a Facebook business page linked to their account. To link your page:
1. Go to your profile and click on the gear icon to access your account options
2. Scroll down to Settings and click on Linked Accounts
3. This will take you to the Share Settings section. Click the Facebook icon and link your page
While there aren’t as many features available with an Instagram business account compared to business profiles on Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and other platforms, your business should make the switch when given the opportunity.
Why should you make the transition to an Instagram business profile? Here are three reasons:
1. Getting found: Once you provide contact information for your business account, a contact button will appear in your profile. Instagram users simply have to click that button and then chose whether they want to email you, call you, or find your location on a map.
2. Access to analytics: The Insights features will give you analytics for impressions, reach, and follower information.
3. Instagram ads: The Instagram business account makes ad creation easy. Ad creation could only be accessed through Facebook’s advertising tools prior to the business profile rollout.
