I’ve had several people reach out lately asking if I still do color analysis consultations. The answer is YES! It is something I really love spending my time doing and have seen such a profound shift in so many of my client’s personal style and confidence.

We’ve had several family and life experiences come up this year that I have required a lot more of my attention. I’ve had to reduce down some of my time behind the chair by only offering haircuts at this time, and wanted to focus more on creating a beautiful boutique area for my clients to shop quality products, and a space for color consultations.

Next in my new series of featuring the different Kibbe body types, is the other Romantic type, Theatrical Romantic. Still very far on the Yin side of the spectrum, it is a very soft and feminine type, with slight angularity. Theatrical Romantics are small, curvy, and delicate. They have an hourglass like a trueRomantic, but appear more narrow, and have a slight yang undercurrent. Some of the most iconic Theatrical Romantics you may know are Salma Hayek, Mila Kunis, Selena Gomez, and Jada Pinkett Smith.

Mary is a Bright Spring. She shines in warm and vibrant color combinations and her features and handle a lot of contrast. She has a neutral undertone that is flattered slightly more with warm colors. Her natural hair color is a soft ash brown, but she is one of the unique cases where her features are best suited with a warm coppery hair color. The warmth really sparkles her bright blue eyes. 🌺

Starting a new series where I will showcase each of the Kibbe body types, and focus on features and traits of each type. Starting on the farthest end of the yin/yang spectrum, I wanted to focus on the most “yin“ of the types. The Romantics. Romantics are small, curvy, and soft. In Kibbe’s system, the word soft is not in anyway referencing to someone’s weight. It is describing the roundness and softness of bone structure and “fleshiness” in a person, as well as the lacking of sharpness or angularity. They appear delicate and shorter than they are. Their shoulders are sloped with round edges. They have shorter arms and legs, and almost an exaggerated circle on the top and bottom parts of their bodies. Their facial features reflect the same type of softness and strong yin essence. Some of the most iconic Romantics you may know are Dolly Parton, Marilyn Monroe, Beyoncé, and Drew Barrymore.
