So when the race for Ohio House 42 was still uncontested at the end of November, I decided to get on the ballot. And while I submitted more signatures than required, not all of those could be validated by the Board of Elections. So, unfortunately, I will not be on the ballot this November. However, I will be working in a number of ways to try and affect positive change in the coming election.

Unions and administration should have a collaborative relationship as their interests are almost perfectly aligned. Centerville Schools and their teacher's association is an excellent example of this principle. At times, both sides have had to sacrifice and make concessions to each other in order to meet budgets and enact new initiatives.

Here's hoping that the Wright State Administration and Board of Trustees come to view these negotiations as a chance to strengthen relationships and the institution, instead of a "win-lose" situation.

Unions and administration can and should have a collaborative relationship because their interests are 100% aligned. A few years ago, Centerville Schools and their teacher's association proved this very point and navigated some very difficult budget issues. Both sides gave and both sides received.

To my friends in Centerville and Miamisburg, our state representative has a national reputation for extremist views. This Fall, please vote for sane representation. Please vote for Zach Dickerson.
