My production calendar is filling up, but I still have room for a couple more custom embroidery commissions over the next few months!

From favorite memories and meaningful places to portraits and one-of-a-kind gifts, I love turning personal ideas into little works of art. Each piece is designed and stitched by hand, with the option to incorporate other materials and techniques like watercolor, beads, and more to bring the design to life.

Late Harvest Embroidery Sticker Pack now available! Inspo plucked straight from the garden.

Cut out and peel the backing off your chosen design, stick it onto your fabric, stitch directly through it, then rinse with water — the sticker dissolves, leaving only your work behind.

The girls are back in the kitchen 🍸🦞🦃

If these look familiar, there’s a reason: I used to stitch these chef icons onto aprons myself. Now Martha, Ina, and Julia are back as water-soluble embroidery stickers, so you can make your own aprons, tea towels, clothing, and more.

They’re simple, quick to stitch, and very beginner-friendly: stick one on, stitch right over it, then rinse away the water-soluble paper when you’re done.

Available individually or as the full set, with navy aprons as an optional add-on (for a limited time).

Commissions are officially open ✨

Custom embroidery is now available through the Needle & Spruce site — portraits, homes, bouquets, and other ideas interpreted in thread, beads, yarn, watercolor, and more.

I’m especially excited to take on more embroidery-based mixed-media pieces this fall. I have a limited number of commission slots available, so reach out if you have an idea you’d like to work on together!

So many animals and plants this August!

Would I recommend hand-making this many things for your own wedding? Debatable. Would I do it all again? Yeah, prob.

Over our 5-day wedding week in Mexico, we had themed days, 50-something people staying together, lots of time by the pool, and plenty of opportunities to make the details feel special. Here’s some of what I made:

Slides 1–2: Friendship bracelets for our Love Island-themed scavenger hunt — tossed into the pools for everyone to dive in and find their names.
Slide 3: Shell place cards, lettered by my husband because I’m big enough to admit he has the better handwriting.
Slides 4–5: Hand-embroidered welcome bags that doubled as beach bags, using five different motifs + color combinations so each was a little different.
Slide 6: Room assignment door tags, printed at home and finished with pom-poms we picked up once we got to Puerto Vallarta.
Slide 7: “Just Married” chair signs that arrived with peeling vinyl lettering — so I embroidered the letters instead.
Slide 8: Personalized water bottles for me and the groom, combining my greatest passions: Love Island and free access to the Denver Public Library Cricut.
Slide 9: Water colored shell cards with notes for our wedding party, several of which the postal service promptly lost. 🫠

Hi again 👋

After a summer full of wedding plans, travel, and celebrations, I’ve finally returned to my embroidery desk and am very happy to be here.

Needle & Spruce is a one-woman show, and that woman had a wedding week to plan! Things were a little quieter around here for a few months, but now I’m back — and married! — and excited to get creative again.
