ChatGPT has officially opened the door for local businesses to advertise directly within its platform.
What makes this different?
Unlike most social media advertising, where youâre interrupting someone scrolling through their feed, ChatGPT users are actively asking questions and looking for solutions. That means the intent is already there.
Even more interesting? Weâre still in the early days.
Opportunities like this donât come around often. Early adopters of platforms like Zillow Premier Agent, Google Local Services Ads, and Google Business Profiles gained a significant advantage by getting in before everyone else.
One thing I appreciate about ChatGPTâs approach is that it still provides the helpful answer and recommendations users expect. The ad simply appears as an additional option within the experience.
Will this become a meaningful lead source for local businesses? Only time will tell!
