It’s officially been about 2 months since the launch of Knotty Little Press! Annnnnd 🥴 it’s been a humbling experience. $1200 worth of books left delivered in the rain, a massive drop in sales (thanks to this incredible economy!) and life is just life-ing right now. Big sign. 🥹

This isn’t a pity plea - it’s more of a reality check. Owning a business has some major ups and downs and 2026 is no exception. Life is heavy for us all, to be real. Knotty Little Press is meant to be a stress reliever and it is!🥳

I am working on a new book I hope to have ready soon. In the meantime, I’ll keep plugging away - just like we always do!

I’m headed back to DC this week to advocate on behalf of small businesses in Iowa with Meta! I had to throw together some new business cards to hand out.

A group of us Iowans will meet with Senator Joni Ernst on Wednesday in addition to Meta executives about issues we are dealing with and the importance of legislative actions that support the efforts of business owners. If you know me, this is right up my alley.

I’m grateful for this opportunity out again (this is my 4th time going with Meta)! I’ll report more this week 🩷
